Dunkelheit
Produktionen is a German independant label for Noise, Power
Electronics, Ambient, Industrial and experimental sound art,
which was founded in 2007. Since its inception, the label has
been focussing on limited high-quality releases and its ever
expanding roster of refined artists. Dunkelheit Produktionen
started off as a platform for extreme metal and associated
electronical styles such as Ambient, but proclaimed that it will
focus exclusively on Industrial and Post-Industrial genres such
as Power Electronics, Noise, Death Industrial and Ambient in
2022.
The objective is the furthering of transgressive, skillful and obscure art through dedicated work and releases whose presentation is oftentimes more noble than those presented by similar labels operating in these DIY driven surroundings. Many of the artists featured on Dunkelheit Produktionen deal with transgressive themes revolving around occultism, extreme philosophy and various outsider narratives, whereas others rely more on a more tame and artistic approach. Dunkelheit Produktionen releases music in all formats and also offers a wide array of distribution items. The choice of artists can be described as brave and innovative, as we claim to be influenced and inspired by many different styles and music scenes. Although there have been some rereleases of long forgotten genre classics, Dunkelheit seems to favour contemporary musicians and fresh talent more than the artists of the past.
